The Christian Three Act Play

After I accepted Christ, I began reading the Bible meditatively every day. That helped me see the Bible as a book to apply to myself rather than to others. Romans 5:1-2 was the first passage that came alive to me.

1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.

This passage gives a sweeping view of our relationship and walk with God. It's like a three act play. Scene one. We are justified by faith. It is a past tense event that brings peace to our lives. Scene two. We have help in our daily walk. We have access to God's grace. To stand in grace is to stand. Scene three. We look to the future. God not only justified and supports us. He will share his glory with us. Past, present, and future. Our Christian walk.
