I'm so impressed with this little guy. I have to share this video. The Guinness Book of World Records names the honey badger the most fearless animal on earth.
Dreams sometimes get in the way of living though. Living is in the present. Dreams are in the future.
Many sleep through the demands of the present while spending time and money on an uncertain and selfish future. It turns out that most of our dreams are about getting stuff and doing stuff with our stuff. Have you heard people who only talk about making or spending money? That started a long time ago with a dream.
What if I wake up and realize my dream only serves me while my values have expanded to embrace those beyond me and mine? I find stuff no longer fulfills me and my dream no longer merits the sacrifices I've made. Where do I go from here?
God is a master baker kneading bread. The bread is his big dream. When I'm tired or have grown out of the dream I created, I'll throw it in with the master baker's dough. While he's kneading the dough, I'll simply live out my life according to the relationships, values, and principles he has ordained for me.
God will continue kneading, proofing, and baking his bread. When he's finished, he'll call us to enjoy his big dream to the extent we threw our dreams in with the dough he was kneading.
Maybe Mitch Hedberg made a good point when he said, "I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're going and hook up with them later."
